Rates and: fees
Why an advertised rate is not your personal quote—and which borrowing costs to compare.
We do not quote loan rates
Kredivera does not set interest rates, loan terms or origination fees. This educational edition does not make offers, collect applications or quote live lender pricing. Any payment example on the site uses hypothetical inputs and is not an offer or eligibility result.
APR and interest rate
An interest rate expresses the charge for borrowing principal. APR is a standardized annual measure that generally incorporates interest and certain finance charges. Compare like-for-like APRs instead of mixing an interest-rate advertisement with another lender's APR.
See the CFPB explanation of APR versus interest rates for an official overview.
Fees and other terms to check
A lender may charge origination fees, late-payment fees, returned-payment fees, or other contract-specific charges. The exact treatment depends on the product, lender and applicable law. A low monthly payment does not necessarily mean a low total borrowing cost.
- The amount disbursed after permitted deductions
- APR, finance charge and payment schedule
- Total of payments and any prepayment conditions
- Fees and consequences if a payment is missed
Late payment and renewal
Missing a scheduled payment can lead to charges, collection activity, and credit-report consequences depending on the agreement and circumstances. Renewing or refinancing short-term credit may extend the obligation and raise total cost. Ask the lender for written terms before proceeding.
State-specific obligations
Credit availability and restrictions vary by state and product. Kredivera does not verify loan availability for any state; contact your state financial regulator and the lender directly for current requirements.
